My favourite confidence-booster
Let’s start the week off with my favourite tip on how to boost your confidence - the Wonderwoman power pose!
Don’t worry, you don’t actually need a Wonderwoman outfit to do this pose - I just happen to have a onesie that was bought for fancy-dress purposes!
To do the Wonderwoman pose, simply stand tall, head up, both hands on hips and chest out. It’s that easy!
And it’s a powerful way to boost your confidence.
Adopting a power pose like this will help you feel more assertive and confident, because changing your body language changes your physiology.
Adopting this pose for two minutes can result in hormonal changes in your body, creating the conditions in your brain for you to feel more confident, assertive and comfortable.
Imagine you have an important job interview or meeting coming up and you’re feeling nervous and a bit stressed about it. Pop into a quiet office (or even a bathroom cubicle) and adopt the Wonderwoman pose for 2 minutes before the meeting. This will increase your testosterone and lower your cortisol, allowing you to head into your meeting feeling much more assertive and confident.
